Today's recipe comes to us courtesy of the What to Expect website and can be found here: http://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/eating-well/banana-berry-smoothie.aspx
I like this one for the picky fruit eaters in your life. Lol. My youngest, Ian, won't often touch fruit or veggies. There are a couple he'll eat, but they're few and far between. Presented as a dessert item though, and I'm pretty sure he'd suck them right down! You can exchange the fruit in this recipe for any that you like. Mix and match for some really yummy flavor combinations. J We've done mango, peach, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, and even blueberries.
Here's the basic recipe:
Ingredients
1 medium banana, frozen and sliced
½ cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
½ cup calcium-fortified orange juice
2 Tbsp wheat germ, if desired
Instructions
1.Place all ingredients in blender or food processor and process until pureed. Pour into a tall glass and serve.
Makes 1 tall glass.
