A Craft Thursday Idea!

This week’s craft is a really fun one, especially if you’re expecting another child and would like your oldest child/children to make their own shirts for the baby. They can make one for themselves and for the newest addition with just their little fingers! And wouldn’t it be fun to hang onto that little onesie for when they’re older?

This craft is called Fingerprint Pals and can be found in its entirety here: http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/crafts-by-age/toddler-crafts/fingerprint-pals-859994/ This idea and any pictures included are the property of Family Fun. I’m only borrowing them to share with you all! :)

What you’ll need:

-Cardboard
-Onesie or shirt
-Fabric paint
-Paper plate
-Fabric marker

What to do with it all:

1. Slip a piece of cardboard inside the shirt to keep the paint from bleeding through. Squirt a few drops of fabric paint onto a paper plate.

2. Dip a thumb or finger in the paint, then press it onto the shirt, repeating as needed to make one of the patterns shown.

3. When the paint is dry, draw on details, such as beaks, legs, and eyes, with a fabric marker. Let the marker dry, then remove the cardboard. Set the paint according to the package instructions.
