Read on to learn more about Amber and Debbie, including how they got started!

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

I'm Amber, a stay at home mom to two kiddos. I have a 3 year old, a 1 year old (our first home birth) and we're expecting our third in August (planning another home birth)! My mom, Debbie, and I started Monster Fluff Studio a little over 3 years ago. Debbie had always been a stay at home mom as well, and she has 4 children (including me!). Debbie loves sewing and she also loves entering cooking contests! Together we have over 40 years of sewing experience. We love being creative and making colorful, fun fluff for little monsters!

2. How did Monster Fluff get started?

Monster Fluff got started when I noticed all the cute little wool interlock soakers with embroidery. I loved them and wanted some of my own, but the price tag for wool interlock is pretty steep. I usually try to figure out a way to make something myself, and so I decided to make fleece soakers and have mom embroider them for me. These more affordable soakers took off, and we've since expanded the business to include fleece shorties, longies, tees and we've recently opened a separate store, Monster Fluff Blanket Studio, specifically for our one-of-a-kind Minkee Blankets.

3. Do you do all of the embroidery yourself?

We do all the of the embroidery ourselves, our designs are purchased through several suppliers so that we can have a large selection to choose from. Debbie is in control of all the embroidery. She has two embroidery machines to keep up with demand.

4. How did you come up with the ideas for all of your cute monsters?

Although we'd love to take credit for the monsters themselves, we purchased all of the designs through a supplier. We do have a lot of fun changing up the monster colors and adding our own spin to each one.

5. What’s your favorite monster?

Archie! Milo runs a pretty close second.

6. Which product is your most popular?

Our Monster fleece soakers are the most popular. Our Monster Fluffies are becoming pretty popular as well. Moms love to custom order these with their children's name embroidered.

7. Do you make all of this yourself and if so, what’s your favorite item to make?

Yes, we make everything ourselves! Both of us really enjoy making the Monster Fluffies! It's tons of fun creating something that is so soft and colorful. It's an added bonus when we receive customer pictures of their little one snuggled up with their fluffie!

8. Anything new in the works?

We're always trying to create something that will please our customers, so you never know what we'll come up with next!
