Inspired by Finn!

This week, our WAHM is Inspired by Finn! In addition to the giveaway item that will be announced at the end of the week, the wonderful people at Inspired by Finn have also provided our blog readers with a discount code that’s good all month long. The code, which is good for 20% off, is: BLOG68

Choosing Your Jewelry

Now that you’ve got a great discount code to use, how do you choose which piece to buy? There are so many amazing choices. First, you need to decide if you want to buy for you, for your child, or both. Then, you should check out what Inspired by Finn has to say about making the right choice. You can read it here: http://hyenacart.com/inspiredbyfinn/index.php?c=130&p=97658 and here: http://hyenacart.com/inspiredbyfinn/index.php?c=172&p=31724 I’m also going to paste some of their suggestions below.

What Color?

“Succinic acid is the pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory component of the Baltic Amber. If you want to make sure you are getting the necklace that is the most effective, you can choose a color that contains more succinic acid than other colors. Generally speaking, the lighter the color of amber the more succinic acid it contains. The lightest colors contain up to three times more than the darkest color.”

In other words, colors like custard, milk & butter, and tumeric & cream will have a lot more succinic acid than colors like dark green & black or cherry. Honey, cognac, and light green & black are middle-ground colors.

How Do I Know What Size to Order?

For Necklaces

“As long as the necklace is not too snug, the length is a personal preference. A convenient way to measure is to drape a tape measurer or a piece of string around the neck to see what length you are most comfortable with.”

For Bracelets

“When used for therapeutic purposes, our bracelets should fit snugly - like a watch. A bracelet needs to maintain continuous contact with the skin in order for the skin to keep the amber warm & release succinc acid into the skin. If the bracelet is flopping around the wrist/arm instead of remaining stationery some of it's benefit it lost.”
